ANS: Both pieces are known as "voyage narratives" and they both wrote about circumstances that have influenced and transformed their lives. Both of these works were composed in informal language and were more abstractly written and definitely evokes the pathos. The tale of Imazu offered another atmosphere. Instead of herself like Sherwoods, she went through a journey with another individual. She also introduces us to the passage of her mothers, making a well acted scene. She sensed her mother's cold hands from the time she was in the shower. I feel the internal trauma, especially when Imazu tried to get away from her family in Boston after such a traumatic incident. Imazu made her understand that "Every Day is a Gift" and she made her realize that life cannot be taken away at any given moment and took her precious ones as a matter of course. She discovered then how her family love, respect, appreciate and cherish. I think this is a tragic thing, that it takes her mother's death
